It is true they say, time is like a sword. If we are not able memanfaatkannnya, time alone will slash us. Cheer to utilize your spare time in goodness, not the sin. Because if we are not busy in his favor, we would turn to the things that wasted no benefits.
Not Capable of Calculating God's Favor
It has a lot of favors which Allah Almighty has bestowed upon us. If we try to count the favors are surely we would not be able to count them. Allaah says (which means),
"And if you count the favors of Allah, you will not be able to count them. Behold, the man is very unjust and very deny (ni'mat Allah). "(Surah Ibrahim [14]: 34)
In Taisir Al Karimir Rahman, Sheikh As Sa'di said, "And if you count the favors of Allah, you will not be able to count" then even more to be grateful for such favors. "It was really zholim man and kufr". That's human nature where: (1) he zholim by doing immoral, (2) lacking in fulfilling the right of his Lord, and (3) of kufr against the favor of Allah Ta'ala. He was not grateful, nor acknowledge the favors except for one who was given guidance by God for being grateful and recognize the rights of his Lord and enforce those rights. "
Forgotten Pleasure
Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam has told us that time is one of the two pleasures Allah Ta'ala has given to man. But unfortunately, many people who forget this and fall asleep with it. He sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam said,
"There are two pleasures that much forgotten by men, the deliciously healthy and free time." (Agreed alaih)
Ibn Hajar in bringing the words of Ibn Bari Fathul Baththol. He said, "The meaning of this hadith is that one does not have time to say his body healthy. Whoever gets like this, then take heart in order not to be deceived by the negligent of gratitude to God for the blessings granted by Him. Among the forms of obedience and gratitude is to do away the ban. Those who escaped this kind of gratitude, he is deceived. "
Ibn al-Jawzi in the same book says, "Sometimes people are in good health, but he has no time to spare as busy world activity. And sometimes did someone have time to spare, but he is sick. When incorporated both these favors, it will come to feeling lazy to do obedience. That man who has been deceived (deluded).
That is human. Many have been seduced by this pleasure. And every blessing God has given will be asked. Allah Ta'ala says,
"Then you would have asked about the delight (you boast megahan in the world)". (Surah At Takaatsur [102]: 8)
Time Has Passed Go Impossible Again
Regret the elapsed time is living remorse remorse. Remember, the time that has passed is not likely to come back again.
"Time is breath which will likely not come back."
Shaykh 'Abdul Malik Al Qosim said, "The time is a little treasure for a Muslim in this world. Time is limited breath and days that can be counted. If a bit is that just a moment or a few hours can be fruitful goodness, he was very lucky. Conversely, if the time is wasted and neglected, then indeed he actually lost. And his name is not possible elapsed time back forever. "(See treatise" Al Waqtu Anfas Ta'ud Laa, "p. 3)
We should realize that time is something that is very valuable for a servant. It is unfortunate if the elapsed time is used to it without doing obedience and worship to God Almighty who has provided a favor to us.
Time Like a Sword
If we do not know how to use a sword, the sword will surely cut down ourselves. Similarly, the time that has been given by Allah Ta'ala. If we are not able to use it to do obedience to Him, He will be a boomerang for ourselves.
In the book Al Jawaabul Kaafi work of Ibn al-Qayyim mentioned that Imam Shafi'i ever get a lesson from the Sufis. The core consists of two counsel following sentence fragment:
الوقت كالسيف فإن قطعته وإلا قطعك, ونفسك إن لم تشغلها بالحق وإلا شغلتك بالباطل
"Time is like a sword. If you do not use it, then she will actually cut you. And if you do not tersibukkan in goodness, would tersibukkan in vain. "
Brother, you asked God Always good in today and tomorrow because the only people who get taufik and the help of God Almighty that can survive a sword.
Ibn Mas'ud said,
"No one ever regrets other than the state as the sun sank, my end is reduced, but not increased amalanku."
Al-Hasan Al-Basri said,
"Among the signs away from a servant of God, God is busy making the thing useless as a sign of God abandon him."
Hopefully with this simple advice to make us more aware of the use of the time in favor. Wallahu waliyyut taufiq.
