Fasting for 6 Days

One of the doors of goodness are fasting. Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam said:ألا أدلك على أبواب الخير? الصوم جنة ..."Can I show you the gates of goodness? Fasting is a shield, ... "(Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, hadith is hasan shohih)Fasting is a shield in this hadith for any Muslim in the world and in the hereafter. In the world, fasting is a shield from immoral acts, whereas in the hereafter is a shield from the fire of hell. Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam also said in the Hadith Qudsi:

وما يزال عبدي يتقرب إلي بالنوافل حتى أحبه"And My servant continues to draw close to Me with sunnah deeds-deeds that I love him." (Narrated by Bukhari)Therefore, to get the love of Allah Ta'ala, then do it fast after the obligatory sunnah. Among fasting Sunnah which the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam recommended after the obligatory fasting (of Ramadan) is the month of fasting six days in Shawwal.Recommended for Fasting Six Days of the Month of ShawwalFasting has a very special virtue. It can be seen from the words of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam. From Abu Ayyub al Anshoriy friends, he sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam said:من صام رمضان ثم أتبعه ستا من شوال كان كصيام الدهر"He who fasts Ramadan and then fasts six days in Shawwal, it is as he fasted a whole year." (Narrated by Muslim)In this hadith there is the argument firmly on dianjurkannya fasting six days in Shawwal and opinions of these schools are chosen by the Shafi'i, Ahmad and Abu Daud and who agree with them. Meanwhile, Malik and Imam Abu Hanifa declared makruh. But they are weak as firmly opposed to this hadith. (See Sharh An Nawawi 'ala Muslim, 8/56)Shawwal Fasting, Fasting As Full yearFrom Tsauban, the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam said:من صام ستة أيام بعد الفطر كان تمام السنة (من جاء بالحسنة فله عشر أمثالها)"Whoever fasts six days after Eid, then he is like fasting the whole year. [Those who do a kindness, the goodness of her ten such]. "(Narrated by Ibn Majah and dishohihkan by Shaykh Al-Albani in Irwa'ul Gholil)People who do a kindness will get ten such goodness. Fasting during Ramadan is a month would mean such a fast 10 months. Fasting six days of Shawwal is such a means would be the same 60 days to 2 months. Therefore, a person who fasts Ramadan and then fasts six days in Shawwal will get a full year of fasting. (See Sharh An Nawawi 'ala Muslim, 8/56 and Sharh Riyadhus Sholihin, 3/465). Praise be to Allah who has granted this favor for Muslims.Do Linear Must Shawwal Fasting and Ramadan Shawwal Beginning Guide?Imam Nawawi in Sharh Muslim, 8/56 saying, "The scholars of the Shafi'i madhhab said that most afdhol (main) fasted Shawwal consecutively (one day) after praying 'Eid ul-Fitr. But if it is not in order or until the end of Shawwal diakhirkan then someone still get the virtue of fasting of Shawwal after Ramadan fasting. "Therefore, be it a person fasts of Shawwal three days after Eid ul-Fitr, for example, whether consecutive or not, as in the case of there is leeway. However, if a person fasts of Shawwal until exit time (month of Shawwal) as lazy he will not get the reward of fasting of Shawwal.Note: If someone has udzur (obstruction) such as pain, in a state of childbirth, as a traveler, so as not to fast six days in Shawwal, then such a person should Meng-qodho '(replace) the fasting in the month of Shawwal Dzulqo'dah. That is not why. (See Sharh Riyadhus Sholihin, 3/466)Qodho pay the poor '(Dependent) preemptively FastingIt is better for someone who still has qodho 'to perform the prayer of Ramadan fasting rather than fasting of Shawwal. Because of course the case that must be the case that takes precedence over the Sunnah. Another reason is that in the above hadith the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam said: "Whoever fasts Ramadan." So if the Ramadan fasting is not perfect because there are still dependents of fasting, the mortgage must be fulfilled in order for a reward such as fasting the whole year.If a person fasts of Shawwal fulfill beforehand and still no dependents fasting, the fast is considered fast muthlaq Sunnah (sunnah fasting usual) and did not get the reward of fasting Ramadhan as we return to the words of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "Whoever fasts Ramadan." (See Syarhul Mumthi ', 3/89, 100)Note: The sunnah fasting than fasting of Shawwal, it may be someone mendahulukannya of mengqodho 'obligatory fasting during field there is still time to fulfill the sunnah fasting. And fasting Sunnah remain valid and innocent. But keep in mind that performing qodho 'fasting remains more important than fasting Sunnah. This is emphasized by Shaykh Muhammad ibn Salih Al Uthaymeen, may Allah have mercy on him-in his book Syarhul Mumthi ', 3/89 due to frequent some people wrong on this matter. We take permisalan the midday prayer. Prayer time is to start from the sun shifted westward to long shadow someone with height. Then he prayed at the end of time as 2 pm for udzur (obstruction). During this time he may I prayed sunnah then perform the obligatory prayers? The answer may be, as a prayer was roomy and Sunnah prayers remain valid and innocent. But it is different from the fasting Ramadhan fasting Ramadan fasting is required to get a reward like fasting the whole year. Then see the difference in this issue!Intending may Daytime and Allow Cancel When Doing Fasting Fasting SunnahThe first problem can be seen in the hadith narrated by Imam Muslim. Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam never got to meet his family and then asked: "Do you have something (to eat, pen)?" They said, "no" Then the Prophet sallallaahu' alaihi wa sallam said, "Well now, I am fasting. "From this hadith means that one may intend in the day when fasting Sunnah. The Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam also sometimes fasting Sunnah then he canceled as stated by Ummul Mu'mineen Aisha radi' anha and there in the book An Nasa'i. (See Zadul Ma'ad, 2/79)Hopefully with a little explanation may encourage us to fast six days in Shawwal, hopefully we accepted and useful practice on a day that is not useful except wealth and children to God with a clean heart.Alhamdulillahilladzi bi ni'matihi tatimmush sholihaat, sallallaahu wa 'alaa Alihi Muhammad wa' alaa aalihi shohbihi wa wa sallam.
